Waipoua Lodge Cuisine

As we are located in a remote area with limited off site

 dining options within a 30-40 minute drive, we are always prepared for our guests to dine at the lodge. In fact, the cuisine and dining at Waipoua Lodge has received such wonderful reviews that as well as wanting to visit the ancient kauri trees, it is now one of the reasons people choose to stay with us!

Breakfast

Included in the price of your accommodation – your day starts with a scrumptious al a carte breakfast consisting fresh fruit with juices, cereals with natural yoghurt sweetened with local honey, followed by warm croissants and a selection of toasted breads.

The hosts’ barista skills provide that special latte, flat white, cappuccino or espresso or there are a range of teas (including herbal) available.

 

Dinner

We offer a very comprehensive menu for such a small lodge and because everything is freshly prepared we can only do this with a little preparation time. We will therefore arrange to email you our a la carte menu and ask you to kindly pre-order your menu choices in advance of your arrival.

Our four-course a la carte dinner menu is $100.00 per person and guests normally dine from 6.30pm. Servings are reasonably sized and intended for you to enjoy something from each course, but if you would prefer only two or one courses this is not a problem. Your choice of seasonal vegetables or a salad is served with your main course. To complete your dining experience we have a wide choice of tea and coffee available, plus a range of dessert wines and liqueurs from the bar.
