Waipoua Lodge Cuisine

As we are located in a remote area with limited off site

 dining options within a 35-40 minute drive, we are always prepared for

our guests to dine at the lodge.

Breakfast

Included in the price of your accommodation; breakfast is served in the Lodge Dining Room between 8:00 am and 9:30 am.

Your day starts with fresh plunge coffee or a range of teas (including herbal), fresh orange juice and a scrumptious al a carte breakfast ranging from fresh farm eggs, bacon and sausages, to a pancake stack, toasted muesli and natural yoghurt sweetened with local honey, all served with toast, preserves and a selection of seasonal fresh fruit.

 

Picnic Lunches

The Lodge is not open for lunch but we do offer picnic hampers starting at $20.00 per person that typically include

made-to-order sandwiches, baked goods, fresh fruit, chocolates and beverages. 

If you would like to enjoy a Picnic Lunch, please let us know the day before.

 

Dinner

We offer a very comprehensive gourmet menu for such a small lodge and because everything is freshly prepared

we can only do this with preparation time. We will therefore arrange to email you our a la carte menu and ask you to

pre-order your menu choices in advance of your arrival.  If you have any dietary requirements of preferences, please inform

us before you arrive so we can ensure the menu on offer during your stay is suited to your preferences. 

Due to the Lodge's remote location, last minute changes to the menu may not be possible.

 

​Served in the Lodge Dining Room, our three course a la carte dinner menu is $105.00 per person and guests normally dine

between 6.00 pm and 7:30 pm.  For guests joining The Footprints Twilight Tour we serve an early dinner at 5:00pm.

To complete your dining experience we offer a selection of New Zealand beers and wines.
