Waipoua Lodge Cuisine
As we are located in a remote area with limited off site
dining options within a 35-40 minute drive, we are always prepared for our guests to dine at the lodge. In fact, the cuisine and dining at Waipoua Lodge has received such wonderful reviews that as well as wanting to visit the ancient kauri trees, it is now one of the reasons people choose to stay with us!

Breakfast
Included in the price of your accommodation; breakfast is served in the Lodge Dining Room between 8:00 am and 9:30 am. Your day starts with fresh plunge coffee or a range of teas (including herbal), fresh orange juice and a scrumptious al a carte breakfast ranging from fresh farm eggs, bacon, sausages, to a pancake stack, toasted muesli with natural yoghurt sweetened with local honey, all served with toast, preserves and a selection of seasonal fresh fruit.
Dinner
We offer a very comprehensive gourmet menu for such a small lodge and because everything is freshly prepared we can only do this with a little preparation time. We will therefore arrange to email you our a la carte menu and ask you to kindly pre-order your menu choices in advance of your arrival. If you have any dietary requirements of preferences, please inform us before you arrive so we can ensure the menu on offer during your stay is suited to your preferences. Due to the Lodge's remote location, last minute changes to the menu may not be possible.
​Served in the Lodge Dining Room, our four-course a la carte dinner menu is $115.00 per person and guests normally dine
between 6.00 pm and 7:30 pm. Serving sizes are intended for you to enjoy something from each course.
For smaller appetites, we also offer three ($105.00 per person) or two courses ($85.00 per person).
Seasonal vegetables are served with all our main courses.

To complete your dining experience we offer a selection of New Zealand beers and wines.

Picnic Lunches
Picnic hampers start at $25.00 per person and typically include made-to-order sandwiches, baked goods, fresh fruit,
chocolates and beverages. If you would like to enjoy a Picnic Lunch, please let us know the day before.
